Frequently Asked Questions about New Orleans Food Tours
-
Our New Orleans food tours typically visit 4-5 restaurants and shops and the foods we enjoy usually include seafood gumbo, beef brisket with creole sauce, red beans and rice, seafood, pork, vegetables, and desserts. Because we love surprises (and because the food tours may change from day to day based on availability), some of our food tours don’t release the names of specific restaurants or dishes…but we promise everything’s delicious, and you’ll leave with a full stomach.
-
Beverages are not included on the French Quarter Culinary History and Tasting Tour, but they are available for purchase. Water is always available at the restaurants.
On the Magazine Street Foodie Tour, we pair the food with a particular beer (or soda for those who prefer it) at one of our food stops. Alcoholic beverages are not included at the other stops, but water is always available.
Each stop on the Cocktail History Tour includes a historic cocktail prepared by award-winning mixologists.
-
Most New Orleans food tours are not suitable for children under the age of 7. Depending on your preferred tour/tour date, our tour operators might be able to accommodate younger children. Select a tour to see specific details and view contact information to make an inquiry.

If you have specific dietary needs we will do our best to accommodate you if we know ahead of time; however, we cannot guarantee what the restaurants will have available. We strongly suggest you use your own best judgement, since you are the one who is most knowledgeable about any food sensitivities you may have.
-
Although the tours can take up to 3 hours, we actually spend more time standing/sitting at the establishments than walking. Most of the establishments are located within a 4-block to 1-mile radius.

Our New Orleans food tours run rain or shine! Please bring a rain jacket or umbrella to stay dry during the tour. In the case of cancellation due to extreme or dangerous weather, most tour operators offer a full refund. Select a tour to view specific cancellation/weather policies.
